Zimmerman DL'ed

Postby FantasyJunkie787 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 12:20 pm

Ryan Zimmerman (abdominal strain) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.
Zimmerman originally suffered the injury during spring training and he aggravated it Saturday when he slid into second base. The Nats are hoping that he will be back in two weeks, but they can't say for sure. It's a major blow to the club and painful news for fantasy owners. Zim was sporting a 1.022 OPS, a home run, four RBI and seven walks through 37 plate appearances.

I am both happy and sad I drafted Pedro Alvarez as his backup in my other league :)

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

So Matt Holliday can have surgery and have something taken OUT of his abdomen and come back in less than a week, but Zimmerman needs a 2 week DL trip for a strain on his abdomen. Hmm...

And I felt bad for missing out on him during my draft. Too bad I ended up with Mark Reynolds.

I'm glad I wasn't in a situation where I had to draft Zimmerman. I dealt with him last year, and the production has its nice stretches but he is such a bumps and bruises guy.
