Opening Day

Remember that the point of games is to learn. That's why they are most closely associated with kids, but it's never too late.

Fantasy baseball taught this English Major to run some spreadsheet shit and download CSV from Fangraphs.

Dodger broadcasts on get away day late in the summer. Still eatin' eggs and cereal when the pre-game with Al Downing came on.

Throwing a tennis ball on the slant roof and waiting for it to come down for over the shoulder catches.

The best fantasy call I ever made was Josh Donaldson. I had him as a star one summer when he was unowned in late August and still had catcher eligibility. The only reason I knew was I went to a lot of games that summer.

Draft players who are good at baseball. Deviate only when category demands.

Give every team you own a catchy name and find a reason to water that plant with regularity. Recognize the beauty in your failed projects.

This is fun.

I'm probably as dopey as the real players at the prospect of real baseball about to be played.

If I could choose one musician to play the national anthem on opening day it would be Louis Armstrong. He's dead I know but I've never heard him play it and my money is on nailed it.

If you care, there's going to be pain.

Check back on this thread for other thoughts.
