Heyward or Cain

I'm probably going to have the first pick in my 8 player 12 team keeper league.
Here's what I'm starting with:

Matt Kemp
Adrian Gonzalez
Roy Halladay
Ryan Zimmerman
Jay Bruce
Brian McCann
Yovanni Gallardo
Desmond Jennings

In terms of best available it's pretty much down to Jason Heyward and Matt Cain.

Really on the fence about the two. What does everyone think?

No MI available? You are starting with 3 OFs already. I think I would lean toward Cain if those are the only two choices.

Zobrist would probably represent best MI available.

I like Cain's consistency and situation (park, division), but Heyward just represents the a bigger payoff if he breaks out.
It also just seems like there's a whole mess a pitchin to be had.

Then I would definitely take Zobrist.. But then again I'm way higher on him the Gray is.

I don't love to take chances with keepers, and Jennings, Bruce, and Heyward are all younger players that could still have a down year. I'd keep Jennings, Bruce, and Cain, for his consistency and situation.

Cain isn't an option to keep.

Him or Heyward would be my first pick.

I would take Cain, but you might want to monitor the status of his contract negotiations with the Giants if you have a couple weeks before your draft. If Cain doesn't sign a long term extension with the Giants this preseason then he's in a contract year and will be playing for a big payday next offseason. Motivation for a career year, perhaps?
