Am I WHIPped?

Postby Charles » Sun Mar 27, 2011 8:56 am

Here's my team from my 12-team 5x5 H2H league. We play C/1B/2B/3B/SS/OF/OF/OF/UTIL. We're also limited to 9 games started by starting pitchers each week.

C - Napoli
1B - Fielder
2B - Phillips
3B - Reynolds
SS - Hanley
OF - McCutcheon
OF - Bruce
OF - Hunter
UTIL - R Howard

SP - Gallardo, Billingsley, Anderson, Chacin, Zimmermann, Floyd, Beachy.
RP - Marmol, Kimbrel, Gregg, Madson, Chapman

I really like my lineup, but I'm worried my pitching might be a little WHIP-deficient. Do I need to figure out a way to upgrade my staff?

W, L, SV, K/9, ERA, WHIP

C - Lucroy
1B - Butler
2B - Altuve
3B - Sandoval
SS - Cozart
OF - J Upton
OF - Bautista
OF - Viciedo
UTIL - Rizzo
UTIL - Berkman
BN - Rutledge
BN - BJ Upton
DL - Eaton

SP - Hamels, Moore, Peavy, Harvey, Ryu
RP - Chapman, Street, Holland, Jansen, Henderson

At this point you are basically punting WHIP. Between Gallardo, Billingsley, Floyd, Marmol, and Gregg you may not have a choice. But Marmol and Kimbrel should supplement you K's enough to break even there.
