Francisco Liriano - Healthy

Postby LMack » Sun Feb 20, 2011 1:11 pm

Earlier in the week there was some concern with Liriano when he didn't throw
Twins lefthander Francisco Liriano was scratched from a bullpen session this morning in Fort Myers because of tightness in his shoulder.

But our guy went for an MRI and turns out it was nothing to worry about
An MRI shows no structural damage in Francisco Liriano’s left shoulder. Twins manager Ron Garderhire says Liriano had the scan taken in Miami recently, and team doctors looked it over. Liriano hasn’t thrown the past two days due to soreness.

I'm banking on Liriano to be my staff ace on a couple teams this year, and I'm sure some other Razzers are doing the same. The only thing that can sidetrack him in 2011 is his health.

Any reason to be concerned by the fact that an MRI was deemed necessary?

Liriano described it as shoulder tightness. But atleast there's no structural damage.
