Napoli

Postby ChrisV82 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 7:01 pm

Napoli is sitting tonight so Juan Rivera can play first base for the first time this season.

I don't really understand.
I like sports with balls in them.

Don't try and understand it. It makes no sense.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

Definitely drop Napoli. He's not good and he doesn't lead all catchers in HR's. It's no wonder that Scioscia never starts him, it's not like he's had three straight 20 HR seasons or anything.

He's a catcher who doesn't play every day...I think we can say this about most catchers. Just enjoy the production when he's in. A catcher that is giving you 20 HRs from a position you most likely don't move in and out of the lineup every day is a worthwhile hold in my book. Take it from the guy that is starting Thole & Moore.

Agreed. But just think about all the poor souls that draft Yadier Molina and actually start him all year, and suddenly things don't seem as bad anymore... Moore almost has as many HR's as Yadier already... I think Johnny Bench would, too, if he strapped on cleats for September..

this x 1000

I drafted Napoli and dropped him because Scoscia hates him.

Then I had Santana for a while and I felt ok about it.

Now I'm platooning Ramon Hernandez and Jaso.

Holy crap, keep Napoli!

So, I benched Naps for Soto while this whole waivers thing pans out. Normally I pay attention at work, but I had to be in South Orange today, so I missed that Napoli was playing. He then homers and gets 6 RBI. Sonofabench!

I want to punch myself in the cock.
