Starlin Castro

Postby einstein2u » Mon Jul 12, 2010 2:19 pm

Now after 200 AB, what do you think of castro ?

He's so young for a major league SS and I don't know baseball enough to see what's his upside long term ? I would love to know his value in a dynasty league.

Do people see 15 HR, 100 Runs, 80 RBI, 25 Steals with a 300 BA for him long term ?

That sounds about right for his long term value. Might not see it until 2012 though.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

I don't think he'll steal that many bases. His rates weren't great in the minors and he only has 1 this season.

There's no doubt that Agent Starlin is the more gifted of the two, but I doubt I draft him over Pennington once next year. Clarice will be a hype-fest if he he has a good second half while Penny has been hitting like a Top-5 shortstop since May without hype. It's fine by me, the general disregard amongst the guys in my league seems entrenched. A dull with such a dull name on such a dull club. The yahoos! aren't sold either which has kept his name value low for the time being.

Stealin' Alcides is the 2nd half that will set my short-round rankings, though - if he tacks 40-50 points to both his BA and OBP and starts runnning he'd be be all over my teams next year, because he won't cost a top 10 pick.

E-Cab, I,Desmond and Elvis are the other SS of most interest to me second-half. Who else has anyone got their eye on?

I'm rolling with Pennington this year. He's been giving me a good average and stealing a few bases.

Lou P has been watching Major League today too.....he has Bunny Tyler and Clarice hitting 1 and 2 and they have jumped on Halladay's first pitches in each AB, it's worked beautifully.

Colvin stole home to score the 4th run - Willy Mays Hays style!

Then Aramis having waved through 2 at-bats got Dorny over at third - the error Rogers me and scores Victorino for my opponent.

4-2 is good for now though....

And bless you, James Gammon.

That wonderful voice ;)

My concern with Starlin is his constant run-ins with the Justice League of America.

Oh, wait, that was Starro.
I like sports with balls in them.
