It's all new! It's all improved!

Postby bookiebob » Mon Apr 19, 2010 2:24 pm

The Razzball forums have undergone a makeover.

No, Carmindy wasn't asked to help. We did it all by ourselves!

The goal was to simplify, simplify, simplify.

Try it out, and let us know what you think.

No worries, all the old posts are still in the Archive section.

More changes are on the way!

Looks good. My favourite part is the Razzball theme colours everywhere n(red/black). Keep it up!

so everything is together now? I was a pretty big fan of there being different forums for different kinds of posts.

Nice work bookie, as always.

My only suggestion would be to put some sub-topics within the baseball forum and football forum. Don't see the need for 22 different sub-sections but general player discussion, trade offers, waiver pickups, draft analysis, and league related questions should be plenty good.

I feel like we may have enough traffic here to justify some stratification of the topics and maintain order.

so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Indeed. Simple is good. I like the changes but would vote for stickying a couple of important threads, like for saves and/or speed.

simplicity is nice but when the baseball forum is going to get clogged up quickly. Some threads are going to end up getting pushed back a couple pages

It's still a work in progress and might be for another day or so, but feedback is great. Good to hear what people are thinking. Before I think it was too spread out, but now maybe it's too tight. Bear with us while we try and make it as close to perfect as we can. Thanks! And keep giving feedback, it's helpful.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.

I don't know how to say this without feeling, uh... but, wait, this is a fantasy baseball website, right? Guys, I'll stick with you. It's a commuuuunity!

My thoughts: Three years into reading the site, I've always been a fan of the forum with specific topics. In fact, it was one of my favorite things. Things got a bit thick with the football stuff, I think. I liked checking the RCL forum, but felt it was a bit "low in the mix" and never got exposure. I'd hope for more trash-talking... or even just talking... at all.

In the end, I'm excited to see some construction, anyhow!
