Draft Strategy Opinion

Postby jmonte » Thu Mar 11, 2010 11:45 pm

I know its such a broad question so i apologize in advance.

I have 1st choice for draft position in a 12 team 5x5 Roto league. Is it a given that I take Pujols or Hanley with spot 1? (I considered a later position and taking a combo of Howard/Fielder with either Tulo/Kinsler)

Other than spot 1 would there be any other draft position you would consider, and what strategy would you have in mind?

Thx all

I like having either the 1st or last pick in the draft. Much easier to plan things out. I would stick with #1, and take Pujols. Then when it comes around to you take the 2 best available players, i.e Sizemore, Rollins, etc.
12 team 5x5 Roto Keeper League - Potential Keepers (Must keep 15 with salary cap of $320)
C-
1B - Rizzo $28
2B - Murphy (1B,2B) $17
3B - Machado $28
SS - Lindor $18
IF - Arenado $24
OF (4) Harper $40, Springer $30, Marte $30
UTL -
Bench -
ML - Brinson (OF) $6, Zimmer (OF) $9

SP (5) - Lester $30, Greinke, $27, Archer $26, Carrasco $25, Quintana $21, Hill $15, Rodon $15, Ray $15
RP (3) - Giles $18
P -
Bench -
ML - Stephenson $7

Thx for the input. Yeah Im leaning towards Pujols and then follow up with J-Up/J-Roll/Sizemore combo.
