Big move in keeper league

Postby tomm0 » Sat Jul 26, 2014 12:28 pm

This is my 13 team 6x6 (OPS and QS) league. I'm currently in 7th and 31.5 points back of the leader. I guess technically I am still within striking distance though I don't think I realistically have a chance at 1st. The league allows 4 keepers each year and you have to forfeit the round before they were drafted in the previous year. Another wrinkle, is the following year's draft order is decided by the previous year's standings starting from 7th place. So 7-13, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

The guy in second is going all-in on this year so I was thinking of offering Ortiz (not eligible), Jordan Zimmerman (4th), and Cody Allen (25th) for Abreu (6th). It definitely hurts my pitching, but think he'd be a great keeper heading into next year. Khris Davis (17th), Springer (20th), Dickerson (27th) are my other likely options at this point. Here's how my team would look going forward:

Wilson Ramos Was - C
Jose Abreu CWS - 1B
Dustin Pedroia Bos - 2B
Evan Longoria TB - 3B
Andrelton Simmons Atl - SS
Howie Kendrick LAA - INF
Andrew McCutchen Pit - OF
Khris Davis Mil - OF
Corey Dickerson Col - OF
J.D. Martínez Det - OF
Arismendy Alcántara ChC - 2B
Alex Gordon KC - OF
James Jones Sea - OF (Bench)
George Springer Hou - DL
Joe Mauer Min - DL
Michael Bourn Cle - DL

Yovani Gallardo Mil - SP
Jenrry Mejía NYM - SP,RP
Rick Porcello Det - SP
Francisco Liriano Pit - SP
Glen Perkins Min - RP
Joe Smith LAA - RP
Joaquín Benoit SD - RP
Jake McGee TB - RP
Jake Petricka Was - RP
Drew Hutchison TOR - SP
Mat Latos Cin - SP
Hyun-jin Ryu LAD - SP
Jesse Hahn SD - SP

I'd take Abreu
Grey Albright

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
