Where to Ran k QBs in this scoring format?!!!

Postby buckfever1974 » Tue Aug 26, 2014 7:55 pm

In a 12 team PPR league that gives 1 pt for 10 yds rushing/receiving, +2 at 100 yds and +4 at 200 yds, 6 point/TD. Basic stuff.

The QBs though are 6 pts/TD, 1 point/25 yards passing but the sticky wicket is 2 bonus points at 100 yds, 3 points for 300 yds passing and 5 points at 400 yards passing.

Some perspective...Manning had 619 points and Brees had 534 in 2013. Rivers was next at 422. To me that's a huge advantage but clearly I don't expect Manning to duplicate things. Brees had 518 in 2012 and lead the league. Does this scoring make Brees, Rodgers and Manning top 12 picks? I would think so.

I would definitely pick an elite QB in that league. Huge advantage.

I'm still okay waiting a bit. Look at where Rivers was drafted and where he ended up on the leader board...

Still not worth a 1st or 2nd round pick when you can still get a stud running back to gain the bonus points. Just go for Stafford or Ryan in the 4th-6th rounds potentially.
