Rate My Team - 14 Team League

QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR, 1TE, 1D/ST, K, 7 bench slots.



First impressions:
Wish I got a better backup behind Ryan.
Not sure about my WR's.
Grant/Jennings is kinda eh, but I couldn't pass up Grant that late.
Anything else you guys see?

For a 14 teamer that looks very good. TE and QB might be the iffiest spots, but that's to be expected with 14 teams. Carlson has good upside this season and as long as Ryan stays healthy he should be solid. Smith is a little scary, but good enough for a backup. It's really hard to draft #1 in a 14 teamer and get a balanced team.

I actually drafted second, and spent the last week scaring the number 1 guy to pass up Dos Mil. Once I realized it actually worked, I had to convince myself I didn't believe all the scary stuff I was saying all along.

With Ryan, I miss Favre by 5 picks who I would've been much more comfortable with, but I'm ready to roll with Ryan and am looking for a bounceback. With Carlson, he was the 12th TE off the board so I figured I would try to go for some upside. Another thing that sticks out to me is I feel I have 3 pretty solid bench receivers in Floyd, Hester and Jacoby Jones. I want to package up and upgrade somewhere, maybe that back up QB slot. Since the Rodgers owner is the one who draft Favre, I would consider trying to pry him away there. Big Ben would also be one of my targets.

I got two offers.

The first one is someone making fun on my John Carlson selection and offering me Shiancoe. His value goes back up with Favre, no?

Second one is a little weirder. Well wasn't quite the type of offer I was looking for when I expressed interest to my leaguemates about getting some QB depth, but this was thrown my way.

I'm guessing that with your article on QBs not repeating and losing my RB2 isn't something worth it. I really like having 3 solid backs in CJ, Grant and Best. I want to make an upgrade, but I just don't feel like making a blockbuster trade. What type of players should I target with the likes of Hardesty/Floyd/Hester? I could see myself packaging Hardesty and Bush with Bowe to ugprade at WR 2 or something.

Shiancoe is better with Favre, but his TD #'s aren't really sustainable and Carlson has enough upside to ride him out for now.

Not a fan of either trade. Love Rodgers and if you had an RB to replace Grant I would say go for it, but I think it hurts your team overall. It's really not a bad offer at all.

I believe Bowe's upside is easily in the #2 WR range. Of course his downside can be pretty low. I could see doing some wheeling and dealing, but I don't think you should feel desperate.

Get: Rodgers, Forsett

Starting to worry about Forsett with Leon Washington looking good. Grant is more stable. Love the Ryan to Rodgers upgrade though. See if you can tweak it a little more.

Owner just lost rice as his wr2. I countered Grant, Ryan and Malcolm Floyd for Rodgers/McCoy. Would Bowe be too much to throw instead of Floyd?

I like Grant more than McCoy in non-ppr, so I don't like that trade as it is.

Could you do Ryan/Bowe for Rodgers? Who would your starting WRs be?
