Josh Johnson?

Postby peter » Tue Jun 10, 2008 8:22 am

From Rotowire:

With his recovery from Tommy John surgery far ahead of schedule the Marlins now have some hope that Johnson could return around the All-Star break, the Miami Herald reports. The organization was extremely impressed with Johnson's effort in extended spring training on Monday, and will put him immediately on a schedule that has him pitching every fifth day.

JJ was pretty damn good in 2006, so this is worth monitoring. He's coming back from Tommy John, though. Early, at that. So it's also worth noting that he was doling out too many BB when he was healthy.

Great update! Thanks.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.

JJ coming back early should be a little worrisome based on his past. He pushed for a quick return when he was dealing with the ulnar nerve issue in the first place and subsequently went under the knife. I'm not saying the two are related, cust kayin'.

I am intrigued with his return. I think he's a pitcher to keep an eye on

I'm ready to cut ties with someone on my team as soon as JJ will be ready...

Will just dump him if his injury becomes a problem again. Guys in my league don't keep track of DL'ed guys much so it's just a matter of whether he'll be good or not :P
