Help Getting Back Into 1st Place

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Help Getting Back Into 1st Place

Postby LadyScorpio » Sat Sep 07, 2019 10:36 am

Hi Grey,

Last time I wrote in, I was concerned about losing my 1st place standing. Turns out, I was right to be concerned. I am now in 3RD PLACE!!! The 2 guys ahead of me are tied at 1st, but I am only 4 points away from 1st. I saw in your latest Buy/Sell that you recommend ditching D. Murphy (as it's too late to trade/sell him). He's my current 2B, but I'm not sure who to replace him with. Need a boost in Runs & RBI, I've fallen off substantially in those 2 categories just over the past week. Also, a little speed couldn't hurt. The following players are available in my league. Please share your input as to which 1 you would add. Moran, Alberto, C. Taylor, Wendle, Arraez, Nola, Hampson, Carpenter & Biggio.

To recap, this is a 10 team, 6x6, roto, keeper, saves + holds league.

C - Ramos
1B - Rizzo
2B - Murphy
SS - Lux
3B - Machado
CI - Voit
MI - Cano (wasn't able to get Newman as you had previously advised)
OF - Acuña, Eloy, Trout & Schwarber (replaced Demeritte as you'd previously advised)
U - Dickerson & Pederson
IL - Dahl, Tatis & Urshela
SP - Bieber, Boyd, Gallen, S. Gray & Lynn + 1 open spot for streaming matchups
RP Colomé, Guerra, Neris, Smith & Wick

Too close to taking it all to choke/quit now!!! Gotta go for it!! Boy, do I EVER MISS Tatis and JoRam!!!!

Please advise,
LadyScorpio

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

Help Getting Back Into 1st Place - Pt. 2

Postby LadyScorpio » Sat Sep 07, 2019 5:58 pm

Hey Grey!

Thanks for getting back to me. Before I pull the trigger and replace Murphy with Biggio, I just wanted to make certain that I'm about to make the right move. Over the past 30 days, Murphy's had 8 Runs, 2 HR, 13 RBI, 0 SB, .239 AVG and .718 OPS. However, over the last 7 days, he's hit 3 Runs, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 0 SB, .294 AVG and 1.192 OPS. Biggo's line over the last 30 days is 10 Runs, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 1 SB, .195 AVG an .674 OPS. His line over the last 7 days is 3 Runs, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 SB, .188 AVG, .850 OPS. With those stats in mind, are you sure that I should grab Biggio over Murphy?!? Plus, Biggio plays for a terrible team.

Meanwhile, please note that Wendle's line over the last 7 days is 6 Runs, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 3 SB, .381 AVG and. 934 OPS. Taylor's line is 5 Runs, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 0 SB, .438 AVG and 1.409 OPS.

I hope you know that I'm not trying to argue with you, I just want to make the BEST move for my team that will get me back in 1st place. A LOT is riding on the moves I make this month. I'm a passionate fantasy baseball manager that wants her team to win!!!! Please advise.

Thanks,

Nah, I hear ya, honestly, you can just hold Murphy since he's going to Coors, I think it's close to a toss up, so it's not like it's a dire move to make
