Stuck in a pickle..

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Stuck in a pickle..

Postby marcheese » Wed Jul 17, 2013 10:59 am

My team is in a freefall, and I’m kind of stuck on what to do. My roster is in my signature. This is a 16 team H2H league, 8x8 – (H, SLG, BB, QS, K/BB, HLD) with no bench spots. We have weekly line ups, so I essentially go week to week streaming about three 2-start pitchers. I’m banking on Bastardo and Parker becoming closers at the trade deadline, and if this happens, I’ll go with 5 actual starters and 4 true relievers, as opposed to 6 and 3 respectively.

Anyways, I’m not interested in trading for starting pitching. On first glance at my roster, what would you do with this team? I’m trying to either sell Ryu for an outfielder, or packaging Ryu + Crawford for an outfielder. I like Ryu, but as I said before, I’m impartial to starting pitching. And I’m pretty low on Crawford as I seem him missing 1-2 games per week due to injury reasons.

Overall, is this a good idea? What kind of players should I be targeting in those packages? Does anything else stand out that I should be doing? Should I be selling high on any of these guys, or just selling in general?

Any help is appreciated, as I’m pretty stuck on what should be done!

I don't understand how you're competing with the starting pitching you have and you want to trade away your best pitcher? I guess if you can get a solid hitter than it'll be worth it and just stream, but I can't imagine the streaming candidates are very good in your league...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
