Re: 2 for 1 closers!!!

CJ will hurt your ERA.
I'd pick up Franklin ... no reason why he should lose his job to the kid. He has put up great numbers as the closer.... except for when he had to close out the 2nd game of a double header (after already closing the first)

Re: Going for Figgins

I stopped reading after your 2nd sentence...why?
because i doubt Figgins can match his avg from last year. In fact, he'll probably be 30 points lower.

Re: Need hitting, dropped Ben Francisco, but pick up whom?

Not really.
He is a rookie, and doesn't have the track record that Swisher does. Its a bigger gamble to pick up Alexi over Swisher.
And over the last couple of games, Ramirez has been moved to hitting 9th in the lineup.

Re: Spot Starting

His streak is going to be over very soon. In his last 30 IP, he has had a ERA of under 3.00 (9 ER). I'm a big believer in streaks and his is over. He is going to get lit up hard in his next couple starts (especially considering that his next start is @ Hou). And keep in mind that he is pitching in a...

Swisher, Swisher, Swisher!!
He is going to tear it up in June. He has brought his average up 20 points since June 1st, and is on a 7 game hit streak.
That and the Sox are playing Det/Col/Pit in the next 3 series...so you can look forward to lots of runs being put up by the Sox.

Re: Spot Starting

For those of you around yesterday, thanks for the help with the big Fielder/Dunn for Haren/King Felix trade. I pulled the trigger and now it's time to work on my innings overage. I'm plus 177 innings and have 11's accross the board in pitching in an 11 team league. I'll start Hamels and Volquez eve...

Re: Cliff Leeeeeeeeeeeeee Suckksssssss!

I traded him for Sizemore about a month ago. Right when his ERA went over 1.
Perfect timing I'd say.
