Re: 14 to keep standard 5x5 with 9 pitchers

keep Ianetta, Kendrick won't play 100 games, hit 10 home runs or steal 10 bases.

Re: Keepers - Pick 8

So I've got a couple deals on the table that are giving me pain. Deal 1 - I give: Dan Uggla ($13) Mike Napoli ($6) I get: Sabathia ($26) Halladay ($23) and Deal 2 - I give: Napoli ($6) OR Scott Baker (5) I get: Stephen Drew ($11) Are either of these deals worth making? I've always avoided expensive ...

Re: Who to keep?

I'd appreciate any recommendations on my tough choices for keepers. I will be keeping Markakis ($16), Magglio ($12), J.D. Drew ($2), E. Volquez ($1) and Youkilis ($5) so I will already have 3 outfielders and would prefer to only keep one more unless keeping 2 clearly gives me more value. I can keep...

Re: How to trade during the offseason in a keeper auction league

I'd trade Santana for Quentin, Sizemore or Youk, and maybe even for Victorino. You'll get at most $10 of value - price out of Santana this year, so if you think Quentin is worth $20 (yes), Sizemore is worth $36 (yes), Youk is worth $12 (yes) or Victorino is worth $19 (probably) then I'd make the dea...

Re: Granderson's value?

That's a secret 2 for 1 trade that doesn't look like it. Those are rarely good for whoever gets the 2.

I'd stick with Granderson.

Re: Peavy or Hernandez

Nothing wrong with keeping Lackey, unless I missed something and you give up your first rounder to keep him.

Re: What fantasy website do you use?

what is the new keeper function that yahoo added?? Not sure exactly how it works, but one of my hockey leagues is using it. Basically guys just get designated as keepers, and then (I assume) automatically rolled over onto next year's team. As far as I can tell, only the commish can designate keeper...

Re: Jimmy Rollins or Carlos Lee?

Rollins. He was 47/50 stealing bases last year, so I see 40SB as the floor for him. Now that Carlos has stopped stealing, I think he's a little worse. Position eligibility is a big factor, too. They're two of the most reliable players out there. Other than last year, neither has been hurt in a long ...

Re: Keepers - Pick 8

How about Berkman (27) and Baker (5) for JBruce(5) and JClement (5)??

Not sure if I'd keep Clement, but even so. . .

This is a tough one, I'm on the fence.

Re: the van buren boys keepers

I like Gordon still and called him a sleeper for 2009 earlier this month (or maybe it was in December, search the site for it), but he can be had later than the 6th round. I'd throw him back. If everyone in the league keeps five guys, 6th round is essentially 9th round, so keeping Gordon isn't that...
