Re: Brandon Morrow dropped
I'd drop either Webster or Skaggs for him (and I really don't like Morrow). But I generally try avoid prospect SP. Obviously, that looks dumb at the moment, but I don't ever want to build around them. I'll let somebody else take their initial success and then deal with the adjustment period that wil...

Re: Start Minor at Coors?
I'm starting him. I generally don't duck starts with Top 40 type guys and I think Minor's in that sort of company at the moment.
He very well might get rocked though.

Re: Should I take this offer?
You're in a bad spot here. On paper, that's terrible value, but when it comes to the closer market, paper value is mostly meaningless. It's all about leverage, and unfortunately, the guy with no closers never has any. Meanwhile the opposing team would like to get Frazier, but he doesn't have to get ...

Re: Gattis' playing time?
Gattis is still going to be "set it and forget it" as long as McCann is still out. Freeman's return won't have a huge impact (though it could cost him a start here and there). I'd still rank him just ahead of those 2. Never been a Montero fan, and even if he weren't ice cold at the moment, he's stil...

Re: Which of These Players is Droppable?
Tough call. I'd probably say Middlebrooks, but you've got 3 back-up CI's that are roughly of similar value (Middlebrooks, Hosmer, Dunn) and Middlebrooks is your only other 3B. All 3 of those guys are going to go hot and cold all season and are currently ice cold. If it's a keeper league, I'd drop Du...

Re: Drop Middlebrooks for Buck
In a league with 18 man rosters, I see no problem with cutting Middlebrooks. If Buck is still out there, I'd imagine there are some attractive decent 3B options as well. Certainly, some guys who will generally destroy your AVG, but might go on a tear from time to time, just like Middlebrooks. The is...

Re: Marco Estrada
With no other 3B, I certainly wouldn't cut Reynolds.
I'd cut Motte. I'm not sure what the point of hanging on to him is (unless you have 2 DL slots).

Re: Carl Crawford
I'm in the opposite situation (considering trading Crawford and really need pitching). I can tell you finding the right value for Crawford will be difficult. For me, it goes like this: Pre-Season Value: He was worth a Top 35-40 SP Now: Top 20-25 SP Mid-May if he's still looking like vintage Crawford...

Re: Carrying extra bats?
I know it's not popular, but I always carry extra bats early. Early on I want a bunch of hitters and RPs. I don't carry enough SP to hit the season IP limit for the first month or so (though I always like to keep a streamer slot going). When there's so much early volatility going on with hitters and...

Re: Bryan LaHair
The time to sell LaHair was a couple of weeks ago. With everyone thinking his slump is a sign that he's a "flash in the pan" and every fantasy expert in the world screaming sell because of the strikeouts, there's probably not much room to profit on him now. Honestly, I'm not sure how many people rea...
