Fielder for a SS?
I'm in a 12-team mixed 5X5 roto league with the following hitters. I'm thinking of making Fielder available so I can improve at shortstop. What would be a fair trade target? Reyes maybe? C-John Buck 1B-Joey Votto 2B-Ben Zobrist 3B-Adrián Béltre SS-Alcides Escobar OF- Jayson Werth OF- Michael Brantle...

Re: Sunday Streamers
I'd go Capuano, Buehrle, and Garcia. Santana has a 5.69 ERA in 131.1 innings vs. Texas for his career, so that's a big fat no. A. Rodriguez, Vazquez and Sonnastine are too shitty to trust vs. anyone. I don't like the matchups for Garcia, Davies or Correia, but Garcia is the best pitcher of the three.

First roto team-how bad did I mess up?
12-team mixed, 5x5 I had planned to grab a 3B in the 2nd round but I saw that Fielder was still available - oops! I'm a little worried that I might be light on steals. 1. (7) Joey Votto (Cin - 1B) 2. (18) Prince Fielder (Mil - 1B) 3. (31) Adrián Béltre (Tex - 3B) 4. (42) Justin Upton (Ari - OF) 5. (...

Re: Werth vs. Victorino
Werth is hitting .276/.363/.502 for a 128 OPS+ this season. He hit .268/.373/.506 for a 128 OPS+ last season and .273/.363/.498 for a 121 OPS+ in 2008. I don't think it's a fluke. I wouldn't worry about where he ends up either. He had better road splits in 2007 and 2008, and had nearly equal splits ...

Pineiro or Garcia?
I was wondering which of these two I should start next week:
Pineiro, @KC and @SEA
Garcia, CIN and MIL
I think Pineiro has more favorable matchups, but Garcia is the better pitcher. Or am I wrong here?
Edit: had wrong teams listed for Pineiro

Re: Luis Valbuena vs Jason Donald
From Indians Prospect Insider I get the impression that Donald may be called up this summer. With that in mind, it appears that Donald is being lined up to be the eventual everyday second base option with the big league club as soon as the second half of this season. He will likely initially break i...

Re: Start Blanton tonight?
FWIW, I'm starting him and crossing my fingers that the Cards struggle like they usually do against the Phils. And that Howard clobbers the Cards like he usually does.

Re: Contreras?
Manuel has used Baez mainly for mop up duty and even then he's looked terrible. Contreras is a much better bet.
Hmm, Lidge didn't do so well tonight so we may find out soon enough.
