Tatis or Cantu to replace Longoria?

I'm using Fernando Tatis to replace Longoria at 3B. Would you be comfortable with Tatis the rest of the year as a starter? My other option is trading Carlos Deldago for Jorge Cantu. Delgado is currently on my bench, but I have been using him of late to sub for a slumping Burrell. I guess the questio...

Cueto, Maddux or Carmona

I'm in a H2H league that counts quality starts. I'm trying to complete a big trade and was offered one of these three pitchers to complete the deal. Which of the three would you trust the most for the rest of the season? I'm looking ahead to the playoffs in September where we can't stream pitchers. ...

Pitchers to stash away on the DL in deep leagues

I have two open DL spots and I'm looking to stash away a few pitchers on my DL. How would you rank the potential usefulness of these guys down the stretch:

Phil Hughes
Bartolo Colon
Ian Kennedy
Mike Hampton
Joey Devine

Our league counts quality starts and holds.

Re: SS dilemma (Tulo v. Aviles)

Thanks for the advice. I had to give up Broxton and Tulo, but I got Lackey. Our H2H league counts holds, so losing a closer doesn't hurt. I grabbed Rafael Perez off the wire. I'll punt saves and win holds every week. No biggie.

SS dilemma (Tulo v. Aviles)

I have been cursed at SS all year, mostly thanks to Tulo. I bought low on him in late April just before he got hurt. I then dropped JJ Hardy when Tulo come off the Dl for the first time, missing Hardy's hot streak. When Tulo got injured again, I had to pick up Jack Wilson (we are talking a deep leag...

Re: Lind or Scott?

Weeks probably sits tomorrow. Yost said he was going to play Durham a few games a week. A day after night game would make sense. The way Lind has been hitting, I would keep him in my lineup until he cooled off, or unless he was facing a tough lefty.

Jobacum: spit or swallow?

Is Jobacum going to get another crack at the D'Back rotation this year, or can he be dropped in single season leagues?

Re: Any of these OF decent bets for the rest of the year?

I had both Hairston and Joyce in my lineup today due to the light schedule. They went a combined 6-9 with 2 HR, 6 RBI and 5 runs scored. That almost makes up for the HR and 4 RBI I lost by dropping Weeks a day early. I might keep Joyce and Hairston in my lineup for the next few days to see how thing...

Re: Any of these OF decent bets for the rest of the year?

I was leaning that way. My only concern is he sat the first games after the break in favor of Jody Gerut with the Pads were facing a righty. Is he really in a strict platoon with Jody Gerut? I really need Tulo to put up nice numbers the next few days so I can ship him off for a solid OF.

Any of these OF decent bets for the rest of the year?

Scott Hairston
Matt Joyce
Ryan Sweeney

I need to replace Hideki Matsui in my OF. The rest of my lineup is solid. I basically need someone who will play almost everyday and make modest contributions the rest of the year.
