Excel Help

Postby MattTruss223 » Fri Feb 07, 2014 8:47 am

I REALLY need to take a class in Excel or something. I'm trying to make a spreadsheet where I can import my league's draft results and then break it down so I can see how many players at each position were drafted in each round. Just a reference for how guys in my league typically draft.

So, I've got my spread sheet with Round in 1 column, position in another. Then I've got another little table with the positions listed out, C, 1B, etc, down a coulmn and the rows across the top identify the round. I've been fussing all morning trying to make an IF statement, but no luck so far. Anyone have any clue how I can do this? I've tried having Excel look at the draft data and see if the round is 1 in the RND coulmn, then look in the position column and if that column=3B, then report a 1, and then tried to sum that. I don't know, I'm an Excel hack, so I'm sure I'm missing something here. Thanks to anyone that can lend me a hand!

This is out of my expertise, sorry

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
