10 team, 7x7 H2H

Postby Nick0rz » Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:33 pm

Finished drafting this team a few days ago... Its a 10 team, H2H league, 7x7 with H, OBP, IP, and L added in... (I hate the H's and L's...)

Anyhoo here's what I ended up with...

C: Jeff Clement (25)
1B: Prince Fielder (3)
2B: Chone Figgins (18)
3B: David Wright (1)
SS: Jimmy Rollins (2)
LF: Jay Bruce (8)
CF: Curtis Granderson (6)
RF: Nick Markakis (3)
Util: Shane Victorino (9)
BN: Alex Rodriguez (5)
BN: Chris Davis (10)
BN: Corey Hart (12)
BN: Stephen Drew (13)

SP: Dan Haren (7)
SP: Felix Hernandez (11)
SP: Chris Young (14)
SP: Josh Johnson (15)
SP: Max Scherzer (16)
RP: Joel Hanrahan (20)
RP: Matt Lindstrom (21)
RP; Jason Motte (waivers
P: Clayton Kershaw (17)
P: Jair Jurrjens (19)
BN: Jonathan Sanchez (waivers)
BN: Wandy Rodriquez (waivers)

I'm trying to move some of my bench guys (Victorino, Hart, Drew, Granderson) for a LF to back up Bruce. My pitching is a bit weak, and risky, but I'm planning on streaming quite a few starters to get the K's, IP, and wins in there. My offence should be set though.

L's are silly. You didn't draft anyone 4th? A-Rod in the fifth is fair. Overall, you did a great job drafting. You can go for the jugular now and trade some of your top guys to boost other parts. For instance, you have way too much value on your bench. I love those hitters, but what are you going to do with them? Watch them hit homers on your bench? If you wanted to play ballsy, you could trade Rollins for Santana or Lincecum or Peavy and slot Drew in there. You could also do the same with Davis, Hart or Wright or one of your outfielders. Managed right, this is a winning team.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

Oops, Markakis was 4th not 3rd...

I've been trying to shop Victorino around for an SP, no luck yet, might try Rollins now. I liked the offence I had when A-Rod came up, so I was willing to take the risk that he would miss a bit more time than expected.
