Hey all,
Team and league settings below. Was offered Mike Richards for Parise straight up. He also has Downie on his team, so I might try to make it a two for two.
Parise has more offensive potential, but in other categories they're a wash, and Richards contributes more to Hits, FOW, BS, etc. and is a bit less of an injury risk maybe...does that balance it out?
Other offer I just got was for Semin:
Bernier
Berglund
Schenn
I need some depth on my team and Berglund is nothing if not a sleeper with good upside (I think Schenn is a few years away still), and Bernier would give me good goalie depth.
So, should I do either/both?

Re: Parise for Mike Richards in league that counts Hits/FOW?
Wow real tough call on the first one. If Hits, FOW and BS weren't part of your league it would be Parise by a mile... Still though I think you gotta keep Parise. His upside in the G/A/SOG categories is much higher than Richards and those cat's are alot tougher to find on the FA List. Hits and Blocked Shots can be found on the Waiver Wire for nothing.
And keep Semin. Easily the best player in the deal and the only one who has proven it in the NHL. And if you really feel like you need more depth then try getting a better package than that for Semin. (Something more proven anyway).

Re: Parise for Mike Richards in league that counts Hits/FOW?
Semin's a bit discounted in this league because of the chance he might go to the KHL after this year and that he's softer than baby **** so zero contributions to three categories out of 12, so I think I'm better off hanging onto him.
Re: Parise/Richards, I nixed the trade before you responded, but what do you think of picking up a guy like Mike Fisher or even Paul Gaustad to give me BLK, FW, HIT, etc.?
I added Matt Martin to carry me in hits and PIMs out of my UTIL spot, and I think I have BLKs wrapped up with my D, but if Fisher put up 40 - 50 points, 175 shots and stayed around his career averages in FW and hits, he'd be relatively valuable, no? Same thing with Gaustad if he can put up 30 points, 100 PIMs, 650 FW, 100+ hits?
