Pedroia
I've been offered Weeks and Chacin for Pedroia. My current starting pitching staff consists of Johnson, Greinke, Marcum, Britton, Volquez, and Harang. I could use a solid arm to solidify my staff. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't make that move.

Re: Pedroia
You might be a little itchy to pull the trigger due to the lack of stats from Grienke. I'd hold.

Re: Pedroia
I agree that I need to have patience with Greinke, but the roller-coaster starts from Anibal, Volquez and Harang have been destroying my team the past two weeks (weekly, H2H, points league). I'm looking to add some consistency in my starting rotation (allowed eight starts per week), without having to roll the dice with Volquez and Harang every week. I liked the upside of Chacin in this deal, but I'm cautious when dealing a player such as Pedroia.
Re: Pedroia
Do it. Weeks is not too much less valuable than Pedroia, if at all. The only difference in value would be Weeks injury history, but it's not like Pedroia has been the second coming of Cal Ripken, Jr. anyway. Chacin is a rotation upgrade. Simple as that.

What are the waiver wire pitchers in your league?

Re: Pedroia
Our league format is a 12-team, mixed league, but the waiver wire has been picked pretty bare. The best options on the waiver wire are Kevin Correia, Jason Hammel, Bruce Chen, Phil Humber, James McDonald, Paul Maholm, and Brandon McCarthy. I know you can get decent spot starts with the aforementioned pitchers, but I've never been a fan of throwing the waiver wire dice. You can get burnt too easily doing that.

I've also been offered Felix Hernandez and Mike Aviles for Arod and Greinke, but that was too much of a lopsided trade (in my opinion), which is why I'm seriously considering the Pedroia deal.

Re: Pedroia
I don't quite get why Pedroia has so much value to fantasy baseballers. Dude's career highs are 17 HR and 20 SB.
Plus he isn't doing crap this season aside from striking out (20% in 2011 vs 8% and 7% in his 2 good years).

Re: Pedroia
I'd make that deal. I personally think Weeks is better than Pedroia alone. Chacin is just a kicker.
