1st Pick Help in 12-Team Keeper

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

1st Pick Help in 12-Team Keeper

Postby Producer3030 » Thu Mar 06, 2014 12:36 pm

Who do I take with first overall pick?

I was leaning towards taking a leap of faith on Jose Abreu since I could use some power (and I love Cubans), but some interesting options weren't kept. Considering the following:

Jose Abreu
Starling Marte
Allen Craig
Brandon Belt
Victor Martinez

League deets and existing lineup in sig.
East Asheville Roto League (EARL)
11-Team NL $270 Mono 5x5 Auction
Keep 7 per League Plus 7 Farm

C Hector Sanchez $1
C Bryan Pena $5
1B Justin Morneau $9
2B Neil Walker $14
SS Jimmy Rollins $11
3B Eric Cambell $4
OF Seth Smith $4
OF Justin Upton $28
OF Giancarlo Stanton $31
OF Angel Pagan $12
OF BIlly Hamilton $31
UT Brandon Hicks $6
CI Lyle Overbay $3
MI Derek Dietrich $3

DL Aramis Ramirez $18
DL Michael Cuddyer $17

FARM
OF Gregory Polanco
MI Alex Guerrero

Pitchers
P Carlos Torres $3
P Kenley Jansen $30
P Marco Estrada $10
P Brandon Kintzler $4
P Joaquin Benoit $6
P Wily Peralta $2
P Tony Watson $3
P Johnny Cueto $12
P Nathan Eovaldi $2
P Matt Cain $20

DL Jordan Walden $3

FARM
P Julio Urias
P Eddie Butler
P Jameson Taillon
P Robert Stephenson

I should also note that this is a h2h league.

I go with Marte if you could use a little extra speed. I like Craig, just dont trust him to stay healthy or bat .400 again with RISP.

Good Luck

Yeah, that's my inclination. Just need power more than speed and stacked at OF. Trying to move Braun for a 1B to make room for Marte.

That said, I'm pretty high on Braun to bounce back.

Marte is probably the better player, but you have no need for an outfielder there. Without knowing what 1B's might be available later, I'd probably grab Abreu.
