Kinsler possibly done for year! + Maddux to dodgers

Postby Zubaz4fans » Mon Aug 18, 2008 6:40 pm

2 tidbits that could prove useful to everyone. and theres also the missionary position i'd like to talk to you about. your welcome.

Rangers placed infielder Ian Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list.
After undergoing an MRI, Kinsler was diagnosed with a sports hernia, and could be facing season-ending surgery. He'll meet with a specialist on Tuesday. "I hope I can avoid surgery, but the way it is right now, it's pretty bad, pretty sore, and I can't play," Kinsler said.

The Los Angeles times reports the Dodgers have acquired Greg Maddux from the Padres.
Maddux cleared waivers, but Los Angeles was the only place he'd agree to go. It's unknown what Los Angeles gave up. He's just 6-9, and while that comes with a 3.99 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP, Maddux has a 5.75 ERA away from Petco. Still, he was 6-3 with a 3.30 ERA pitching for the Dodgers back in 2006. He'll likely fill the rotation spot of Brad Penny

Hmm... Maddux goes to one place where he has about the same amount of value, maybe a few more wins.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
