Draft Strategy

Postby jacobchr31 » Wed Mar 08, 2017 12:46 pm

League Settings: 12 teams, 6x6 cats with OPS and QS added, 3 keepers (kept in the round they were drafted with annual inflation)

My team was terrible last year and so I was able to stockpile some high end picks.

Keepers: Kris Bryant (5th round), Trea Turner (22nd round), Syndergaard (16th round).

I also have 6 picks within the first 40 picks of the draft including 3 of the first 11 or so (depending on if anyone keeps their first rounders). My last pick is in round 14.

Would you try and go 5 offensive players to one pitcher for the first 6 picks? First 3 picks all offensive players or would you try and pair Syndergaard with another top end pitcher?

Thanks for your advice.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

I would say yes as well, but it depends if a stud SP falls to you. I would lean toward 5 offensive players to 1 SP, but be adaptable to what happens in the draft. I would most likely do first 3 picks all offense as well.
