Grienke gets Holbrooked

Umpire Sam Holbrook tossed Grienke in the 1st inning after Zack spiked the ball in frustration after a close play at 1st.

There goes my chance at winning my H2H pitching this week.

Unless... could Zack get the start tomorrow???

Yeah, that's ridiculous to do to the fans that went out to see him throw a game...

Guess which umpire is behind home plate tomorrow if they start Grienke again?

That's right -- Sam "Itchy Trigger Finger" Holbrook.

don't think they'll start him...but you never know...they could use him for middle relief if they are in a jam...any fairly rested pitcher could be used tomorrow if their team is in a jam...so make sure everyone that has a chance to play is on your roster if it helps you (message to everyone)

I doubt he pitches today, but what it may mean is that he will pitch in one of the first three games after the break, something he was not supposed to do.

Remember when Milwaukee traded for CC and they knew he wasn't staying there so they pitched him every 2 days or something ridiculous? I could see them do the same think to Greinke. Watch him pitch the first game after the break too...

If Greinke starts the first Brewers game after the break, he would be starting in three consecutive games. Must be some kind of record.

Heave hoe 3 in a row.

I'm.amazed, I know it was 1917 and the pitchers job back then was just throw it over, but starting both games of a double dip then the game the next day..... Wow. I.wish the article said how he did in those games.

According to Wikipedia, he won all three games.

I'm sure you can browse Baseball Almanac and actually find the games' box scores.
