Brett Lawrie

Postby BAintheA » Sat Mar 24, 2012 1:50 pm

In a 3-man keeper league, 10 teams. I am keeping Longoria, Mccutchen, Ellsbury and I have the 6th pick in our live draft. Looks like I will be able to choose from the following;

D Wright
J Weaver
S Castro
E Andrus
B Lawrie
H Pence
Z Grienke

Not sure where to go with this pick but thinking Lawrie because of his upside and potential keeper status. Anyone have thoughts? I don't know much about him. Thanks in advance.

My Lawrie concern is about his runs and hits. 7th in the order sucks. He should be 2, or 3 with Bautista, Lind, and encarnacion 4,5,6.

Yeah, I honestly can't even fathom Lawrie sticking in the 7th slot past the end of May if he hits like he's capable of hitting. The Jays don't have any speed at the top of the order with Yunel leading off... Kelly Johnson will steal some bases, but having him and Lawrie ahead of Bautista would make more sense for the Jays.
