standard roto scoring
15 team league; 50 rounds
no trades, no free agents
we start 2 C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, ci, mi, 5 of, util and 9 p
what do you think of the start of my team
RD 1 3rd overall--Troy Tulowitzki
RD 2 28th--David Wright
RD 3 33rd--Jay Bruce
RD 4 58th--Adam Jones
RD 5 63rd--Yovani Gallardo
A little light on speed but have 2 shallow positions filled and have some upside with Jay Bruce. Yovani was great value i feel like. What should i target next?
What do you think of my first 5 picks?

Seems like your next pick will be 88, and I would go with Billy Butler if available. His solid average could compensate for the possible hit on your average that you might have to take at 2B, considering that the remaining 2B (Espinosa, Hill, Johnson, Kipnis, yadda, etc.) are all likely to be an AVG drain. I'd go SP or OF after that, Gardner if available.

Utley, Kendrick and Rickie Weeks are all still avail. 3 picks until my turn..

You must have some love for Adam Jones, eh? ADP of 75 and you took him at 58. Was BJ Upton available at that spot?standard roto scoring

For your 6th pick, is Morse available? It'd be good to get that 1B slot filled.
I agree with royce, Butler's not a bad pick. But be sure he actually qualifies at 1B in your league (he doesn't in mine).

Please! Some input on my slow draft team
BJ upton was gone about 10 picks before.
I hated all the other outfielders in that spot. We took Jones too early, but it doesn't matter now. I don't really see a difference in numbers between him and Matt Holliday, except for about 20 points in average, but who can predict that.
After the first 5 picks, we took Utley, Howie Kendrick, Garza, and Josh Beckett.
So we stand like this.

Butler is only avail at UTIL. There are still some good 1B left i think--Lind, Davis, G. Sanchez...
We can always move Howie to the outfield and take another MI.
Please help/comment.

Re: Please! Some input on my slow draft team
I like the Garza pick, but am not enthralled with the Utley and Kendrick picks. Second base is fairly deep imo, so I think you could've waited there. Plus, you're really short on speed and it's more likely you'll find steals in the 2B/MI positions later in the draft than 1B/CI, which you should take care of soon (because 1B and CI are not nearly as deep as 2B/MI).BJ upton was gone about 10 picks before.

Others may disagree, but I like Gaby over those other two first basemen. I like his consistency and him hitting in an improved Marlins lineup. I'm a bit wary of Ike Davis, simply because of the injury history from last year and the fact that the Mets lineup is weaker without Reyes at the top of the order (so assume less RBI opps).
I don't like the Beckett pick. He's too inconsistent for my tastes and SP is deep. You need 1B/CI pronto and to grab a SS and OFs that shore up your speed.
