h2h managers question

i have been playing h2h since 06, and have had some success but still don't have a concrete idea on how its won, should i draft high avg to avoid hitting slumps and also what about pitchers?

Is you h2h a points league (like football) or category league (like roto)?

Avoid hitters with low OBP.

sorry i forgot its category wins, the one that has the lead say winning in 5 out of 7 categories win the week and then then that team would be 5-2 and so on

is it a 5x5 league? 7x7? Let us know the stat categories so we can help with strategy.

yeah its 5X5 plus obp so its 6x6 all other stats are regular

When you add OBP you have to pay more attention to both AVG and OBP, since they are related. You'll need to avoid the low AVG, high K guys more than most. Otherwise, the advice I've seen around here is applicable - don't draft for speed early, get power early, don't punt categories, don't draft bench bats.

Pitching is where I've found h2h to get more strategic. I don't know from your post what the 6th pitching category is, and that makes a big difference in strategy. If your league adds holds, you need to think through your RP strategy. If it adds L or QS, that matters more to your SP strategy.

Generally, drafting your bats first, high-K SP next, closers and speed last should set you up to be competitive all year.
