Devin Mesoraco

has been killing the ball in AAA. Is there any chance he gets called up this year and do you think he will be with the ball club all year next year? Thanks.

The current tandem of Hanigan & Hernandez have performed well. Unless the Reds take a risk and break that up via trade, the earliest you're seeing Devin is September.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

From what I've read Hernandez is good with the pitchers, so I don't see them trading unnecessarily just to get Mesoraco up. Sept is a good call

Apparently, the Reds had an opportunity to move one of Hernandez or Hanigan to the Pirates for bullpen help or prospects, but didn't. The Pirates ended up trading for Mike McHenry. The Giants are still in the market for a catcher, but I doubt the Reds will make a move to open the door for Mesoraco. Dusty Baker has never cared for bringing up prospects in his managing career. It's as if he doesn't realize that bringing up Joey Votto and getting him at bats was the best thing that happened to that franchise in years.
