Catcher Advice

Postby Bake McBride » Tue May 10, 2011 10:00 am

I have Mike Napoli in a standard Yahoo 8-team league (stat categories are R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, SV, K, ERA and WHIP).

Since there are only 8 teams playing, and since it is a pitching-heavy league, there are a lot of good offensive players out there.

I am nearing the end of my rope with Mike Napoli. I know the general catcher advice from this site is to "set it and forget it," but was wondering what you thought about dumping Napoli in favor of another catcher?

Other available catchers include:

Geovany Soto
Jorge Posada
John Buck
Chris Iannetta
Kurt Suzuki
John Jaso
Yadier Molina
J.P. Arencibia
Ramon Hernandez
Ryan Doumit

Thanks!

Iannetta is the only one ranked higher than Napoli at this point. I'd try and package Napoli for a need and then pick up Iannetta before I toss him to the waiver for him.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
