Crack Ribbed Grienke (Out 2 to 4 weeks)

Postby Oregon Nut Cups » Tue Mar 08, 2011 5:45 pm ... &c_id=mlb#
The Brewers' Zack Greinke fractured a rib playing pick-up basketball last month and will begin the regular season on the disabled list, the team revealed in a stunner on Tuesday.
I told him not to take the rock to the hole on me. ;)

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

My guess is pretty far... After dealing with Ellsbury being out with a rib last year, I'm not sure I'd want to mess with Greinke.

In my opinion, this helps out Greinke's value. Most expert lists have him ranked a little high given his move to the NL. With this injury, I would assume a 3 round drop in value is correct, but the more the better.

People don't seem to realize that this guy broke his rib 2 weeks ago, and pitched a gem in his last spring training start with the injury. It is a hairline fracture, which would be a bigger deal if it occurred in a weight bearing limb, however these are the ribs. 4 - 6 weeks at the most and he'll be good to go. The Brewers say only 3 starts. That sounds about right.

Bad karma saying this, but these kind of injuries make me giddy.
