It's been a long offseason, first Mock of 2011!

It's good to be back and thank god baseball season is just a month away!

12 Team ESPN Mock 5X5

C) J.P. Arencibia (18th, 212) Wieters got snagged when I wanted him in the 15th
1B) Joey Votto (1st, 5) Miggy was still on the board, but DUI problems make me nervous
2B) Aaron Hill (9th, 101) One of several post hype bounce back candidates
3B) Alex Rodriguez (2nd, 20) Seemed like good value, and 100% healthy
SS) Starlin Castro (12th, 140) Quietly pretty good last season, looking for more progress
MI) Jhonny Peralta (22nd, 260) 20 HR would be nice this late
CI) Prince Fielder (3rd, 29th) Could not pass up this value, and no OF really that spectacular here
OF) Jacoby Ellsbury (5th, 53) SB, R, AVG play, probably a reach
OF) Jay Bruce (6th, 68) Reds fan homer pick, hoping 2nd half was sign of looming breakout
OF) Nick Markakis (11th, 125) One of my favorite players, but I no longer have to overpay to get him
OF) Grady Sizemore (14th, 164) Hopefully some high upside
OF) Tyler Colvin (19th, 221) Let the last of the good OFs slip past, wanted Travis Snider
UT) Adam Lind (10th, 116) More power
P) Clayton Kershaw (4th, 44) NL K machine to lead the rotation
P) Yovani Gallardo (7th, 77) NL K machine, with risk
P) Carlos Marmol (8th, 92) Panic pick, should have waited for saves
P) Brandon Morrow (13th, 149) AL K machine, and target of my man crush
P) Brad Lidge (15th, 173) Hopefully lots of SV opps with that Phillie rotation
P) Ian Kennedy (16th, 188) Sleeper, wish I would have taken a SP when I panic picked Marmol
P) Matt Thornton (17th, 197) He's going to get the closer job, right?
P) Javier Vazquez (20th, 236) Getting NL-ightened again
P) Jonny Venters (21st, 245) More SVs please
BN) Gio Gonzalez (23rd, 269) Tie me to the WHIPing post
BN) Peter Bourjos (24th, 284) The bourgeois got nothing on Bourjos
BN) A.J. Burnett (25th, 293) Supposed reworked delivery with new Yanks pitching coach has him looking real good in Spring Training

Well, I think it's not too bad for Mock #1, but ESPN mocks aren't all that useful. I know I'll really have to bring the A game when I draft versus the other Orginal Recipe leaguers later this month.

Team doesn't look awful. I think they're a bit short on power (HRs, RBIs), which makes sense since your pitching is a bit too strong. Kershaw's great, you didn't need to follow him so quickly with Gallardo. Or you could've wait instead of Kershaw.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!
