I had the 9th pick overall in a 10 team, rotisserie style league with standard 5x5 scoring categories.
Roster Settings - C 1B 2B 3B SS 3OF 2UTIL 7P 3Bench

My team
C - Miguel Montero
1B - Ryan Howard
2B - Ian Kinsler
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
SS - Alcides Escobar
OF - Matt Kemp, Andrew McCutchen, Jay Bruce
UTIL - Joey Votto, Carlos Quentin
SP - Josh Johnson, Cole Hamels, Ubaldo Jimenez, Jered Weaver, Ben Sheets, Johnathan Sanchez
RP - Heath Bell, Carlos Marmol, Jose Valverde
Bench - Scott Sizemore

What do you think?
Some FA's - R. Davis, D. Fowler, M. Gonzalez, O. Dotel, L. Nunez, R. Porcello, B. Matuzs, K. Slowey.. (You get the picture, very shallow.)

I think your team looks real solid. Should be a contender. I like Sizemore but I'd go with Dotel or Gonzalez over him, dealer's choice on which one. I'd also want Slowey over Sheets.

I was wondering about keeping bench hitters, but with a DL slot I suppose there really isn't any need to stash them. Especially since none of the players on my team (or anyone's team with only 130ish hitters owned) are platooned. The WW replacements aren't going anywhere.

I would suggest stacking the rps for an early lead. I like to do this in shallow leagues as you can guarantee a topish finish in saves while letting the sps settle out as well as the poor offenses so you can go streaming.

Anyone have a Dotel, Rauch, Gonzalez, Lidge,Nunez, or Capps preference?
