Not a bad team at all. Your relievers are questionable, but they're whatever, I can't fault you for those guys. They are what they are. You feel a little low on Ks and WHIP on the pitching side and on the hitting side you feel pretty balanced, if a little light on average.

I used Rotoworld's rankings, and I tried to do the BRAN draft strategy. But I had some difficult following it. I've never been in a draft where everyone else follows the same thing(Catchers/Pitchers late). It kind of threw me off a lil. What threw me off right off the bat though was rotoworld's ranking for Crawford. They have him 12th overall. I'm glad I got a chance to do a mock before the real deal in 2 weeks. The 1st basemen went fast, and before I knew it I kept putting it off cause the best guy that was available wasn't very appetizing. Then I get left with C.Jackson. :( .
Thanks for the mock guys, it was fun.

Varitek is unusable/undraftable. Hudson is pretty much a wasted pick. Your outfield is pretty iffy. You have one guy who is guaranteed to produce and that's with a .250 average. Butler? Huh?

EDIT: Just realized there's only two RP spots, so it's okay, but you should get a bit more solid on closers.

The team's good to solid. I don't think LaRoche is a good pick/one you would keep around. He'd be dropped by May. Any time you have the first two outfielders that may only get 44 HRs, there's a power shortage. I'm not crazy about Ortiz, but on your team he's not awful. I say this because you're lacking power. Your pitching is a good mix of reliable and solid with upside. You could also use another closer.

Your team's way too fast and very light on power/RBIs. Hamels and Halladay also don't need to be on the same team. You should've been drafting power then, not pitchers or closers. How can you compete with Zimmerman, Jackson and Encarnacion when everyone else has big bats there? Also when Wells is your top power source in the OF there's a problem.

I agree, it's a team heavy on SB and weak on power. Ortiz fell to 60, I thought he was worth it there. LaRoche was basically a flier, and I thought we would be able to draft some bench spots. With a team like this I would trade some steals for power and troll for a SAGNOF closer.

I think this mock draft taught me how important it is to edit your rankings. On my espn drafts I have edited all my rankings down to the last rounds. Def got lost in the middle and late rounds.
