First mock of 09

Postby Hank » Tue Jan 06, 2009 12:06 pm

14 teams. Pick #5
C Chris Iannetta C-COL (164)
1B Chris Davis 1B/3B-TEX (89)
2B Alexei Ramirez 2B/OF-CHW (61)
3B Aramis Ramirez 3B-CHC (24)
SS Jose Reyes SS-NYM (5)
OF Carlos Lee OF-HOU (33)
OF Corey Hart OF-MIL (52)
OF David DeJesus OF-KC (192)
Ut Adrian Beltre 3B-SEA (201)
P John Lackey SP-LAA (80)
P Jon Lester SP-BOS (108)
P Yovani Gallardo SP-MIL (117)
P B.J. Ryan RP-TOR (136)
P Adam Wainwright SP-STL (145)
Bn Brian Fuentes RP-LAA (173)
Bn Brandon Morrow SP/RP-SEA (220)
Bn John Maine SP-NYM (229)
Bn Johnny Cueto SP-CIN (248)

Didn't particularly want A-Ram in the 2nd, but the lack of 3B depth scared me stupid, then low and behold I end drafting 2 more 3B eligibles, doh!

The great value you got on Carlos Lee in the third round made up for your reach on Aramis in the 2nd. You have a very solid pitching staff. I can't believe Cueto lasted until the 248th pick and Maine at the 229th. That's kind of silly which makes me question the other participants of the mock draft. Your offense should be enough to keep you competitive. Though I do think they might be a bit light on Average/HRs/RBIs. Overall it's a solid team.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

Yeah there were only 4 other real people, definitely skews the results. But I suppose any practice helps.

Yup, though I usually do them on CBS however, CBS has been acting up recently, especially when there are a lot of computer players.
