I was offered Dunn and "a pitcher" for Mccutchen
I asked for Dunn and Wainwright
he came back with Dunn and Maholm
either of these deals worth it? I know im taking an average hit, but The dread pirate isnt hitting for power, and Walker is taking his RBI chances when he hits 2nd in the 2nd half, and Dunn's HR and RBI are always there in Chicago.
Trade McCutch?
Re: Trade McCutch?
I would rather have Cutch and a streamer than either offer. If you really need pitching you can do better, and ditto for power.
Over the past 30 days:
Dunn: 13 hr, 36 rbi
Cutch: 10 hr, 39 rbi
It's not much of a difference, and over the past 14 days: Cutch 1, Dunn 0.
As for the reasoning with Walker taking RBI chances: I just have to submit that with that logic, if Walker hits he himself would be on base for Cutch to drive in. So it would work out.

Re: Trade McCutch?
You can do a whole lot better for McCutchen IMO. Wainwright's on fire so he'd be nice to acquire, but Dunn's career numbers suggest that he almost always has a worse August and September than any other month... He's already a massive batting average drain, if he doesn't hit 8 or more HR's a month he's just a hole in your lineup. As we saw last year, when he doesn't hit HR's, he doesn't produce anything at all.
