Re: Lawrie/Cain for Hanley/Ortiz
By no means to I claim to be an expert, but I see the trade as good for you for a few reasons. First, it looks like you could use some pitching. Also, Morales' production and health is, to me, still a toss up. With both Hanley and Reyes on your team, the production of two of your top guys is linked. If reyes has a bad night, it could effect hanleys production and vise versa. I would say trade Hanley and Morales for Lawrie and MadBum. Definitely wait for more posts though, because my opinion could be completely off.

Re: Lawrie/Cain for Hanley/Ortiz
Would I be better off if he took Hamilton over Hanley from me?

Re: Lawrie/Cain for Hanley/Ortiz
I'd rather have Hanley than Hamilton in a vacuum b/c of Hamilton's injury history, but other people may feel differently. Your OF isn't great but i wouldn't want to roll with Edwin at 3B all year either. I'd rather give up Hamilton but could see it going either way.
FWIW, i wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to acquire Lawrie this year. I like him long-term and he'll probably be fine this year. But he's still a guy that's only had 150 or so at-bats in the majors. He may be Studly McStuldyson all year but i'd like to see it before i get too heavily invested in him. Just my two cents... could be wrong...
