Morse for pitching

Postby Atomic » Tue Aug 09, 2011 7:58 am

Another owner is wanting to get Morse from me. If I move him I would want pitching in return. He says Papelbon is available, but I would like to have him add a starter to the trade. He has Price, Latos, Wandy and Garza as main starters. Should I try for Papelbon and Latos? Stay put? One of the other starters? This is a keeper league and Morse might be a borderline keeper. I could use some help in saves, era and k/9.

Thanks!

He says he will do Latos or Garza and Papelbon for Morse and someone else, but not Young or a reliever. Who to throw in? Rasmus? Hudson? Dempster? Forget it?

thanks!

OK, I haven't made an offer yet and am getting cold feet, especially after Morse was my only hitter to get a hit yesterday! Morse and Lind for Papelbon and Garza? How about including Weiters instead of Lind and picking up Iannetta or Y. Molina? Do I want to do this? Any strong opinions?

thanks!

Assuming this is obp league trade or no trade I'd grab Ianetta over weiters. I'm more then aite w you losing morse assuming you can move reynolds into 3b and gordon into morse spot. I don't have garza anywhere though so cant advise on return side, but his k/9 does look filthy.

Ok, I made the move: Garza and Papelbon for Morse and Weiters. Added Iannetta. In 5th place so had to try something.

thanks for the input and place to discuss!
