I attached my sig to the original message so people could evaluate, but I was talking more in generalities.

The Utley side is taking a big risk, but if he comes back healthy he is more valuable than Youkilis. I wouldn't take the Utley side of the trade personally, but I don't think it's outrageous.

It is outrageous IMO if you were dealing Youk. The risk could pay off but at best they end with equal value so why take on all the risk in the first place?

Do you want a sure thing in a healthy player or throw the dice at a injured 2B that hasn't played baseball for quite some time. Utley, more than likely won't be mashing homers from the start (if he ever gets going). Also, with an injured knee he probably wont be running around the diamond snagging steals.

And you don't have a good replacement option for 1 or 3b. Utley isn't guaranteed to perform anything
