Roster Opinions

Postby Hawgzilla23 » Mon May 16, 2011 10:12 am

Okay, I participate in a 12-team, keeper league, 24 man rosters, and eight pitching starts per week. We're a point league that accounts for most of the common states, H,R, RBI, SB, W, Caught Stealing, Errors, IP, K, QS, W, L, SV, BS, W, CG, SH. I have to admit that I enjoy this type of scoring system, although it places a heavy point value on pitchers, meaning that you have to trade an arm/leg to get any decent pitching. I'm currently .500 in this league, but that also places me tied for second in my division; it's a fairly competitive league. Basically, I wanted to post my current roster and get some opinions from the board, particularly wanting to know whether I should stand with this roster or make any moves. If you have any particular suggestions concerning players' to move, then feel free to let me know. I've been wanting to move one of my OF's, because I have too many. But I didn't know who to move or who to target. We have an owner with Fielder, who also has pretty weak pitching. But I'm a little uncomfortable diminishing my pitching staff, because one bad start from a pitcher can cause some serious negative points. I've been considering trying to make a deal for Fielder and Nolasco, but can't figure out what I could deal from my side of the bargain to make it work. Thanks for any input.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!

I like Davis over Butler, and would give either with JJ for Fielder and Nolask. But I more dislike KC/Butler than love Davis.

Should I even attempt to make a move, or do you guys think this current roster might be sufficient? Do you see any particular weakness that might be addressed? I agree that JJ would be the best piece to trade in a Fielder deal, but I'm a little hesitant with the year that JJ's having thus far. Thanks for the extra feedback.

You must not have read today's update yet. YES trade JJ now if you can because his injury just hit. You should have traded him yesterday. Believe in Grey.
