Sitting on the bench: Doumit, McCutchen, McGehee:

5 R
4 HR
6 RBI
AVG .450

My entire active team had half as many HRs and the same number of RBIs.

Sonavabench!

Story of my month of july. My bench of 5 slots has likely outproduced my lineup of 9 slots this month by a comfortable margin. I dropped Willingham the day he had 2 homers before the ASB. Picked him back up, started him against Ollie Perez... nothing. Dropped him and he had another huge game the next day... Sonnava B. I just had no spots for him. BA has dropped 10 pts this month, and getting 2,3 RBIs a day. Though the return of Doumit has helped in the last two days.

Pena, Hardy, Wright, Mclouth... useless this month. My 2b is a sinkhole too. Bonifacio stopped running... but no replacements... Callespo (sp)? Matsui? Coghlan? Ugly stuff.

Worse yet, I continue to think Hafner is good and start him over Morgan, Pods, or Willingham. His OPS looks good overall, but he's hit for almost no power lately. Shoulder must be bugging him again.

Since I'm a Cleveland fan, I can safely tell you Hafter doesn't look the same anymore.

I had Willingham about 2 months ago when no one knew who he was. He was batting around .230 at the time. Then I dropped him for McCutchen. We'll see how that plays out.

i did manage to start hafner for the two games he homered, and benched him for the one he didn't so my (dumb perhaps) faith in him paid off for one series.

Tonight I am finally gonna sit Pena... bad career numbers against Burnett, who's been on a roll. So that means you can lock that homer up.

If you own pena, be sure to start him and bench Garko, who I am starting for Pena. I ain't shittin' ya. Look up my posts of past lineup moves and see my "success rate."

There's my one gd deed for the day.

Oh no, the world is ending. I cannot recall the last time I made a lineup move to sit a starter and it didn’t backfire. Might have to go back to 1967, before I was born, for the last occurrence. That’s how apocalyptic the non-burn was. Garko didn’t even play as he was traded, but I come out ahead since Pena did nothing as usual.

Him and Mr. Softy are almost locks for 0 for 4 everyday, I really don’t know what to do with them. No replacements. I had to drop Willingham cuz my OF was too crowded (that worked out well… even though my OF is good…) but I need IF reinforcements and there aren’t any. Typical. My team’s now next to last in BA, area of most need.
