Call Waiting

Postby ohbilly2134 » Fri Apr 21, 2017 2:29 pm

... or "Hold, Call Waiting"

Definition: a middle reliever/setup man who is racking up solid Holds, making a strong case to supplant his current team's closer at some point in the season and rectify his manager's closer shituation. This RP is both on "hold" [duty] at the moment and waiting for his eventual "call" to 9th inning duties.

Example (from actual Post on SAGNOF thread):

Subj: Ottavino/Kelley (by pythons007 » Fri Apr 07, 2017 4:10 pm)
"Do we hold on to these guys or move on?"

Grey- Re: "Kelley's on Call Waiting" -or- "Hold [Kelley], Call Waiting"

There is nothing amiss with learning and honing the principles of linguistic use in any dialect. It helped me to express my voice and its musicality in composing. Begin a diary to hone your own voice.
