Is there a term more specific than sonuvabench for when a player on your roster is benched IRL so you don't play him (and who could blame you?), but then he comes in and delivers a pinch hit HR? This as opposed to you just benching a player who's not been great but is still playing who then performs well (as in BJ Upton today for me).

Yeah, I hear ya... So frustrating... There's no specific term for that, but am all ears (eyes, actually)...

We should call it a "Benchmark" 'cuz just like a skid-mark, it's something that just shouldn't have happened..."Yuk...Arcia left a benchmark on my roster..."
