Daily league strategy

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Daily league strategy

Postby wynams » Thu May 27, 2010 10:03 am

Realize there are many variables to consider, but what is the earliest day in the week that you will pull up and go conservative in a daily transaction league if you build a big lead early.

i.e. I am 100 points up and considering not starting Lilly today (on a Thursday) ... too conservative? smart? yawnstipating?

Lilly has a decent matchup, and with that lead he probably won't hurt your chances. The upside is, he has a great game and you coast through the weekend. I would, however, generally wait until Friday to detrmine my strategy for the weekend. These types of leagues are also based on what you think your opponent is capable of scoring for the rest of the week.

Long answer short, if you think you have it wrapped up go ahead and bench him. If you have some doubt I'd take my chances.

Good advice Paper Tiger.

It definitely worked out this time ... ~22 pts contributed to the cause by Lilly. Thx to Kubel, Reyes, Ely and KRod, I am now up to 180 pt lead cruising to improve to 6-2.

Glad I could help. Even a broken clock is right twice a day :)
