Who to drop when Corbin gets activated?

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

Who to drop when Corbin gets activated?

Postby TheHoffmeister » Thu Jul 02, 2015 8:05 am

League rules: 7x7 H2H. We can keep [K] 6 players at a 2-round penalty from the previous year's draft position.
Offensive categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, E, AVE, OPS
Pitching categories: W, L, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP

So I proactively stashed Pat Corbin on my DL about four weeks ago and it looks like the D-Backs are going to activate him this weekend. I actually like my current rotation and don't think anyone I have is an obvious drop at this point, especially for a guy coming off the 60-Day DL for TJ surgery and pitching in AZ.

SP - Clay Buchholz
SP - Jake Arrieta [K]
SP - Lance McCullers
SP - Steven Matz
SP - Mike Fiers
SP - Eduardo Rodriguez
NA - Julio Urias

On Offense, I have a slightly longer bench than I would like, but here again most all of these guys have been contributing:

C - Jonathan Lucroy [K]
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Kolton Wong [K]
3B - Adrian Beltre
SS - Jean Segura
LF - Charlie Blackmon [K]
CF - Adam Jones
RF - Gregory Polanco [K]
UTIL - David Ortiz
UTIL - Maikel Franco
BENCH - Kendrys Morales
BENCH - Josh Hamilton
BENCH - Steven Souza
DL - Byron Buxton

I've been managing playing time mostly through Hitter-Tron matchup data /MLB off-days/right-left splits to maximize my stats. Souza is Ice Age cold right now, but he's streaky; Hambone just got back from the DL; Polanco is inconsistent; Papi is a shadow of what I thought I was drafting, but could still hit 25 HR; Franco is hot as balls right now...

Should I even activate Corbin at this point? I mean, I could just drop him and not worry about it.

Thoughts?

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!
