Appel, Gray, Butler, Stroman, Stephenson or Montero?
Who would you add for this year?
Also, who has the best long term appeal?
Which SP prospect to stash?
Re: Which SP prospect to stash?
For this year? Montero and then Butler. Both are pitching well and their teams have clear holes at the major league level.

Yeah?
I was thinking Butler and then Stroman. Liking his K\9 ratio.
Montero is intriguing too...
Just don't wanna miss out on somebody who could have an instant fantasy impact.
How would you rank those pitchers for this year and beyond?
Throw in Kyle Zimmer too

Re: Which SP prospect to stash?
Jon Gray probably has the highest ceiling of that group. If he were set to pitch anywhere other than Coors Field, I would pencil him in as the best long-term starter...but with Coors Field as his home park, it makes it a tougher choice. After Gray, I'd go Stephenson, Butler and Appel in the next tier. Butler is looking the best of that group at the moment, but that may change. Then I put Stroman and Montero in the last tier, though they will probably reach the majors before the rest and they both have #2 starter potential, perhaps better depending on how they respond. In particular, it wouldn't surprise me if Stroman were to come in guns blazing and have a terrific rookie season. My concern is whether he can stay healthy long-term at his size, throwing in the mid-high 90s. So, while he's in the third tier long-term, he may be first tier short-term amongst that group.

Start one player at each position + utility, 4 SPs, 2 RPs. 8 reserves.

Re: Which SP prospect to stash?
A guy can't go wrong with stashing Gray for his long term appeal and high ceiling. He reminds me of Matt Harvey a lot.
Hopefully we see Gray in the summer, if not, he should make opening day 2015?
With Stroman I like him for the short term as you say. Looks like the Jays could use him. McGowan can be put back in the pen as a long reliever. The only thing stopping Stroman is Happ maybe. People aren't sure if Stroman will become a closer or be used as a starter.

How would you all rate Archive Bradley with the above group?

I would rank them like this, as of today:
Bradley
Gray
Butler
Stroman
Stephenson
Montero
Appel
Zimmer
Really wanting to pull the trigger on Gray.

Re: Which SP prospect to stash?
Grey what do you think?
Re: Which SP prospect to stash?
Heaney, Gausman, and Bauer should be on this list. Bauer makes his way up sooner than later.
Gausman could be up soon in Baltimore too and I would think he does a lot better than last year... Seems to have polished things up a lot.
I think Butler is up before Gray, but Gray has the higher ceiling easy. Bradley should be up now, but management wants to keep him down since the DBacks are currently garbage.

Yeah I realize that there's other pitching prospects I left off. I was just basing this off of who's available in one of my leagues. I own Bauer and Gausman in some leagues and I think they're going to be great.
