First draft of the year

Who to start, who to bench. Grab that WW guy? Low priced rookie or high priced stud?

First draft of the year

Postby marcheese » Mon Mar 17, 2014 8:07 am

This is the first year I've exclusively used Grey's rankings. Well, I used to use his rankings, but then would customize them to my league format (16 teams, 2 catchers, 8x8). However, this is the first year I'm in a 12 team league (reduced to 12 teams, divorce broke the league up, long story) and the stats are very similar to a standard league. So I thought, why not just run with Grey's rankings? I mean, I've never had a mustache rub me the wrong way... except that one time in prison, but that's another story for another day...

Anyways, to the point, I'm in a 12 team H2H league, categories are as follows:
Batters: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, BB
Pitchers: QS, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9, SV

Here's my draft (it's very Grey friendly) along with round selection. Just looking for some feedback.

C - Evan Gattis (19.226)
1B - Prince Fielder (2.15)
2B - Jedd Gyorko (10.111)
3B - Nolan Arenado (13.154)
SS - Elvis Andurs (5.58)
CI - Albert Pujols (4.39)
MI - Brad Miller (15.178)
LF - Bryce Harper (1.10)
CF - Wil Myers (6.63)
RF - Jose Bautista (3.34)
OF - Alex Gordon (9.106)
OF - Alejandro De Aza (16.183)
Util - Corey Hart (18.207)
Util - Peter Bourjos (24.279)
BN - Jason Castro (still deciding between him and Gattis) (20.231)
BN - Cody Asche (26.303)

SP - Alex Cobb (7.82)
SP - Julio Teheran (8.87)
SP - Francisco Liriano (11.130)
SP - Sonny Gray (12.135)
SP - Justin Masterson (14.159)
SP - Josh Johnson (21.250)
RP - Steve Cishek (17.202)
RP - Tommy Hunter (22.255)
RP - Sergio Santos (27.322)
BN - Yordano Ventura (23.274)

Thanks,
I like the pitching a lot, looks like you really followed my rankings... Same with the hitting... Real solid team from where I'm sitting...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
There's more than one player with the same last name? Then spell out who you're talking about.
Thanks!
